About EnokiPDF
EnokiPDF puts every page of every PDF (and photo) you drop in on one board. Drag pages into the order you want, rotate or delete them, pair the fronts and backs of a double-sided scan, and download one PDF — or several.
What EnokiPDF can do — features, videos and how your files stay private →
Your files never leave your device
All the work happens inside your browser. For personal use EnokiPDF has no account, no ads and no cookies. We don't collect your data, and we never sell data. The server at enokipdf.com sends you the app itself, and your files reach it only in one case you choose:
Share link. After you download a PDF you can make a link to it (for 1 hour, 1 day or 7 days, or one download). The PDF is locked (AES-256 encryption) on your device first, and the key is only in the link's “#…” part, which browsers never send to a server. So EnokiPDF's server keeps a locked file it cannot open — not even its name — and deletes it when the time is up or when you press “Stop sharing now”. Anyone you give the whole link to can open it, so send it only to the person who should have it — or add a password and tell them the password another way (a text or a call).
So you don't lose work, your current deck is saved in this browser on this device. Use ⋯ › Start a new deck to clear it. Passwords for locked files are never saved.
Downloaded PDFs keep the original pages exactly as they were: text stays selectable and quality doesn't change.
Feedback and usage counts
💬 Send feedback (in the ⋯ menu, or after a download) sends only what you type — and your email only if you want a reply. Never your files.
To know what to improve, EnokiPDF also counts which features get used — for example “Make it smaller: used 120 times, 3 didn't reach the size”, or how many people who open Fill & Sign finish it. It also counts visits, each added to a daily total with only:
- the country (and, in the US, the state) — worked out by our network provider, Cloudflare; the IP address itself is never stored;
- how the visit started — the name of the site that linked here (like “google” or “reddit.com”, never the page or what you searched), or the campaign tag on an ad or link (like
?utm_source=facebook). The tag is then removed from the address bar; - whether you've been here before, roughly (“came back after 1–7 days”, “3–5 days in all”). Only your browser remembers this, in its own storage (
pagedeck.seen— the first and last day you came, and how many days). The first site or campaign that brought you is kept there too for 90 days, so that if you buy a Pro plan, that sign-up is counted for the ad or site that brought you; - how far the visit got: opened the app, used a tool, looked at prices, started checkout.
That's all: no cookies, no IDs, no ad pixels (no Facebook or Google trackers), nothing about your files or what's in them, and the server doesn't store IP addresses. The counts are added into daily totals and deleted after about a year. Turn them off any time with ⋯ › 📊 Usage counts; they're also off when your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”.
Clean up and Find
✨ Clean up looks for pages that are sideways or upside down, blank (like the empty back of a one-sided sheet) or repeated (a page scanned twice). It only suggests: you untick anything to keep, then Apply — and Undo still works. A page only counts as repeated when its words and numbers match, so different pages that merely look alike are left alone.
🔍 Find (Ctrl/⌘+F) searches the text of every page and selects the pages it is on. Scanned pages have no text inside, so EnokiPDF can read them for you (a few seconds per page). Both run on this device.
Hide private information
In Fill & Sign, ⬛ Hide private info finds ID numbers (SSN, 주민등록번호), card numbers, email addresses and phone numbers in a typed PDF and covers them with black boxes — plus your own words (your name, address, an account number…), which you add once and are kept in this browser only; you can also turn kinds off; ⬛ Hide covers anything else (also on scans). Check each one — tap a box and ✕ to show it again. When you download, every page with a black box becomes a picture with the boxes burned in, so what's under them is gone from the file, not just covered. (White-out only covers.)
Too big? Make it smaller
After a download, “Too big? Make it smaller” makes a copy under 5 MB, 2 MB or 1 MB (for email and upload limits). It works gentlest first, so text stays sharp: repeated fonts and pictures are stored once, photos on typed pages get a lower resolution (the text around them is untouched), and scanned pages keep their text as a crisp 300 dpi black-and-white layer over a light colour layer. Typed pages are only turned into pictures if you ask (“Make it smaller anyway”) — still sharp, but no longer selectable. The link appears for files over 1 MB.
🏢 EnokiPDF Pro: for professionals and teams
Personal and family use is free, with no account and no sign-up. It’s an honor system: if you use EnokiPDF for work, please choose a Pro plan — Professional or Team (see the plans). Nobody checks; your files never leave your device. A Pro account is the one place EnokiPDF keeps anything about you: the account’s name (yours or your firm’s), the email addresses of its team, the public keys for faster sign-in on their devices, the details shown on its share links, and when each Pro link was opened — never files, and never who opened a link.
Signing in. There is no password. You enter your email and type the 6-digit code EnokiPDF emails you (it works once, for 10 minutes). On a device you use often you can turn on faster sign-in — your fingerprint, face or device PIN, like unlocking your phone (your device may call it a “passkey”); it stays on that device and EnokiPDF never sees your fingerprint. The owner adds a teammate with your name at the top → Invite; the invite is emailed and signs them in once. Sign-ins last up to 24 hours and end after an hour unused, and billing or removing people asks you to confirm it’s you if your sign-in is older than 10 minutes. Removing a teammate ends their sign-ins at once.
What you get. Share links for 30 or 90 days (personal: up to 7) and files up to 100 MB; links show ✓ Verified by EnokiPDF with your details (details added without an account are shown with a note that EnokiPDF hasn't checked them); 🔗 My share links shows how often each link was opened, and the 🔔 in the top bar tells you when one is, while EnokiPDF is open (turn on desktop notifications there). After a download, 👥 A copy for each person marks every page with the person’s name and date — download them as a ZIP or make a link each — and 🔢 Bates numbers numbers every page (ABC-000001…) and remembers where you left off. Both are done in your browser, like everything else.
🧾 Audit certificate and Verify
After a download, a Pro account can press 🧾 Audit certificate. EnokiPDF adds a last page listing each signature and initials (whose, which page, and when it was placed), the other entries, the original files' fingerprints (SHA-256) and a code such as PD-7KQ4-M2XB, and saves the file as “… (certified).pdf”. EnokiPDF's server keeps only that final file's fingerprint, the account that certified it, the time and the number of pages and signatures — not the document, and not its name unless you choose to show it. Anyone can then open enokipdf.com/verify and choose the PDF: their browser computes its fingerprint (the file isn't uploaded) and EnokiPDF says whether that exact file was certified, by whom and when. Any change — even saving it again — makes a different file, and Verify says so. Whoever certified it can withdraw a certificate. It records what happened in EnokiPDF on that device; it is not a certified digital signature.
📥 Secure document requests
A Pro account can ask someone for documents with one link (⋯ → 📥 Document requests): a checklist like “W-2 forms, photo ID”, a note, and how long it stays open. The person opens the link on a phone or computer — no account, no app — and chooses files or takes photos. Each file is locked on their device before it is sent, to a key that only the person who asked holds, so EnokiPDF's server stores files it cannot open; even the file names are locked. The files are unlocked in the requester's browser, and deleted from the server when the request ends (7, 14 or 30 days) or sooner. The requester's key is kept on their devices and, on EnokiPDF's server, only locked by their fingerprint, face or PIN (on devices where it’s turned on) and by a recovery code they save once. The link includes a fingerprint of that key, so the person's browser can check it is sending to the right lock.
Form answers to a spreadsheet (⋯ menu) reads the answers in fillable PDF forms on this device and saves one row per form as a .csv file.
🪪 ID card: front & back on one page
Press 🪪 ID page (top bar, or the ⋯ menu on smaller screens) and tap the front, then the back — they can be photos, separate scans, or pages inside bigger PDFs. EnokiPDF also offers it when you add two single photos or a two-page card scan. The table or scanner lid around each side is trimmed away, and both sides go on one page at the card's real size (85.6 × 54 mm — print at 100%), passport-page size, or bigger. The new page takes the place of the separate sides (Undo brings them back), or tick “Keep the separate pages too”. On the preview, drag a side to move it, pull its corner to resize, tap its 🔍 to see it up close (easy to spot one that's upside down), and its ⟳ to turn it. Above the preview, 🛡 For … only adds a note like “For First Bank only” with today’s date — a copy marked for one purpose is much harder to reuse — and T Add text adds any other line, in any language, as real text: drag it, and use A− / A+ or its corner knob to size it. Select the finished page and press 🪪 again to change any of it.
Fill & Sign
Select the pages to fill (or none for all), then press ✍ Fill & Sign (on a phone it's in the ⋯ menu). Pick a tool and tap the page: Signature, Initials, Text, Date, ✓, ✗, ● or White-out. Drag anything to move it, tap text or a date to change it (or drag its ✥ while typing), pull the corner to resize, ✕ to remove. Scroll down through all the pages (‹ › jump a page); on a phone, slide the tool row sideways for more tools.
Yellow boxes are places EnokiPDF found that want filling: signature and initial lines, dates, names, tick boxes, and the boxes of fillable PDFs. Tap one and the right thing goes in at the right size, sitting on the line. They are only suggestions — nothing is placed until you tap, and you can still put things anywhere yourself (or “Hide” them). Typed PDFs and fillable forms are found reliably; on scans and phone photos some places can be missed.
A yellow box in the wrong place? Yellow boxes are only suggestions: they never go into the PDF. To remove one, right-click it (on a phone: press and hold it) and choose Hide this box; “N hidden · show” next to the count brings them back. The same menu lets you pick what goes there.
○ Circle draws a ring around a choice, for forms that say “선택 항목에는 영표(○)로 표시” — on those forms the choices already have yellow circles: tap one. Date and time blanks like “___년 ___월 ___일 ___시 ___분” are separate places; tapping one writes today's value (you can change it).
Copy and paste. Select something you placed and press Ctrl+C (or ⧉), then Ctrl+V (or “⧉ Paste”): on the same page it lands a little lower; on another page it lands in the same place. Ctrl+D makes a copy. Text copied from anywhere else (an email, a note) and pasted onto the page becomes a text box where you last clicked.
Initials, ✓, ✗ and ● stay on after you place one, so you can tap place after place. Press the button again to stop.
▶ Sign step by step walks you through every place EnokiPDF found, one at a time, showing each one in its page (bigger on a phone, so you can read what you're signing). Tap Sign here / Initial here / Put today's date and it moves to the next place; Skip the ones that aren't yours (e.g. the landlord's). After your first “Initials” line at the bottom of a page, it offers to put the same initials on the others. Undo works as usual.
Signatures are made once. The first time you press Signature, EnokiPDF asks you to make it (draw, type your name, or a photo of it signed on paper) and then you tap where it goes. After that, Signature places it straight away.
More than one person? Use Signing as ▾ to add a person or switch who is signing; each person has their own signature and initials. They are kept in this browser on this device, also after you close it, and never sent anywhere. Clearing the browser's site data removes them. On iPhone, Safari may clear them after a few weeks without use unless EnokiPDF is added to the Home Screen.
Forms in other languages. Type in any language: Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Thai and many more (EnokiPDF brings its own fonts). Most languages go into the PDF as real text; scripts whose letters join or change shape (Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi, Thai, Khmer…) go in as a sharp picture of the text so they always look right. EnokiPDF works out the form's language (🌐 next to “Signing as” — change it for a scan) and writes the date the way that language does: 10/28/2026 · 28/10/2026 · 28.10.2026 · 2026. 10. 28. · 2026年10月28日. It finds table cells next to labels like 성명 · 氏名 · 姓名 · Nombre, marks like (서명 또는 날인) or 印, and date lines like “20 . . .” or “年 月 日” (the date is written over them).
Seal (도장 · 印鑑 · 印章). Under “Signing as” → + Seal, EnokiPDF makes a red round or square seal from your name. On Korean, Japanese and Chinese forms a Seal button appears, and step by step offers “Stamp seal” where a form asks for 서명 또는 날인 or 印.
This is a simple electronic signature, like signing a printout and scanning it. It is not a certified digital signature.
Sending a PDF
When your PDF is ready it's saved to your Downloads — attach it to any email as usual. Or press 🔗 Share link for a link that works for 1 hour, 1 day or 7 days (or one download), with an optional password; see “Share link” above. On phones, Send file… puts the PDF straight into Gmail, Messages or KakaoTalk.
